Rickman Manrick, born Derrick Ddungu in Uganda, is a versatile recording artiste, performer, lyricist, and social icon. After studying in Uganda and Sweden, he transitioned from a promising football career, halted by a knee injury, to music in 2016. His debut single, “Naki,” released in December 2017, marked the beginning of a successful musical journey. Collaborating with artists like Eddy Kenzo and Lydia Jazmine, he produced hits such as “Bali,” “Beautiful Mami,” and “Cinderella.” Rickman’s influence extends beyond music, earning endorsements from major brands like Bell Lager and 1xBet. A former student-teacher at Kvarnbyskolean School for Children with Autism, he uses his platform to inspire and advocate for social change.
