Sheilah Gashumba a Ugandan TV/Radio personality and digital influencer has through the years harnessed the impact of using social media to make business for herself and brands she endorses including Africell, Uber, Coca Cola, Centenary Bank, Tecno Mobile and World Remit. It is important to note that Sheilah remains the first ever tele-media personality to cover the CommonWealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) presided over by the Queen of England Elizabeth in 2007. As a TV/Radio and internet sensation who has worked with media institutions DSTV, Honey TV, WBS, National Media, NBS TV and NRG, Sheilah has inspired many youths in East Africa and Africa at large to invest in social capital and leverage virtues of critical thinking, confidence and self esteem. In 2023, Sheilah opened and launched Gash Luxe – a female broadband one-stop shopping center that harbours a champagne lounge and content studio located in Kampala where celebrities and entertainers across Africa visit for their fashion styles and video dos.
